The sharks in the picture have their fins attached.

I ofen kill fish in order to eat them. Have you never eaten fish?

Could you let us know why sharks are special? We kill mor than 100 million hake, snoek and other fish in SA.

I understand that there certain ecosystem concerns surrounding sharks. Assuming the resource can handle the number of sharks removed? what would the problem be?

Killing sharks is like killing rhinos, lions and so forth... It is just plain wrong!!! They don't even use all off it, next time when you eat that cheap fishfingers, think of the shark you chewing on. Will you kill a dolphin? It is fine if their is certain measures they follow bag limit off some sort. They kill our oceans these rice munchers, perly, shark, dolphin, whales, seals.... must we go on. When they start F#((!n& up our world they do it in masses. Why can't the amerikaaners just drop another BIG BEN? kill some million of them F#((&r$ the world could be a better place!

You haven't really helped us.  A shark is a fish not a mammal so the comparison to a dolphin could count for snoek as well.

The photos that were posted showed a well regulated bag limit.

I think that bombs on Japan were "Little Boy" and "Fat Man"

I'm pretty sure, shoaling fish outnumber sharks by a very substancial ammount..

And who said that hake, snoek etc wern't being overfished either..

All I am saying (besides "give peace a chance") is that a shark is a fish.

There are other fish populations that are in far worse shape than sharks.

Ironically, the blue sharks shown in the picture are doing better than many other species
