Here is a Saragossa 20 000 i also did for Henning Venter, this grinder has todate impressed me the most and the strongest well built peice of equipment from the shimano stabke in terms of grinders i have see thusfar. It is built very robust indeed, the mainshaft is thick solid and without any flex, the bearings on the main gear are good size, the bearings on the pinion are bigger than all the other grinders i have opened to date, the main and pinin gear is built like a tank to be frank, most impressive indeed. I dont see this reel having problems with shark at all, if looked after correctly this tool should last pretty well indeed. The spool is nice and big, the drag stupendous, carbonfibre so smooth and very powerfull indeed, there are two sets, on top and at the bottom of the spool, to cope with extreme drag pressure there are dogs like on the stella range a very nice addition, this also helps save the antireverse roller bearing with high drag pressures which this reel does put out. The one side is aluminium and very solid, the one side plate graphite but there is not problem at all with flex, its solid. They say water tight but there is some water inside but zero sand nor grit after wading. No reel can ge water tight based on my knowledge, they can reduce water intrusion yes but thats about it. Check and you will see water inside tye gearbox. This grinder has impressed me more than any other in have worked on, thumbs up to the shimano design team on this reel. Very nice lads very nice.  There are loads of photos on my face book page jonathans reel repairs and upgrades

this reel went for a beating with a 159cm (133kg) black pylie caught at The Las in Struisbaai. i was up to my chest in the sea while fighting the fish and the reel was submerged almost 10 - 15 min. i took it to old salt the Monday and he cleaned it up and service it.

happy happy and ready for Saturday's league

Awesome looking reels these Saragossa's!! It's the 1st grinder that has got me wondering if there is a place for a grinder amongst my arsenal of multipliers

The 20'000Sw is IMHO a Trini 50 version of a Grinder, 900m of 50lbs. Not many fish are going to take that off of the reel and it's built tough to fish 130lbs Braid

Te 10'000 is IMHO overlooked and for a league angler will do the job his old Tn 20/30 did with 500m of 50lbs HMP 8 strand on it

I can very honestly say this grinder has impressed me more than ANY OF THE MANY i have opened and worked on from ALL different manufacturers. Shimano has really done a great job on this reel, a while back i did post comments on another model also praising it highly. I dont use grinders but if i were to start this make would certainly rate very favourably on my list as number One.

I agree... I love my 10000. Paired thar with an 21year old 400 stroke 3. My dad's first graphite....love this combination. Old salt my 10000 I will drop off monday

Hi Henning

Good to hear from you, have you given the 20 000 any punishment after i worked on her?
I would like to get your feedback on the quality if my work done.

Henning you think that the 10000 would have handled those bronzies as well as the 20k?

im also worried about having up to 899m of line off the reel, with the big drag it produces how easy will it be to pop that 50lb?
