Here are two saliga reels i did for a client who came from another reel techi to me, these reels never ever got the tripple treatment and corrosion, roughness, poor drags were the order of the day. I sonic cleaned them to get years of salt build up and dirt out of the reel seats and thouroughly clean the insides and outside and strip the salt residue of the in and outsides of the reels. These are class reels and deserves the best treatments to keep them in peak performace and protected forward. The spool bearings were replaced and the drags were replaced with carbon fibre drags to restore performance, the clutch lever housing on the 50 was totally worn out, here i machines a custom bush to restore correct function. Works by cavitation, you can actually google loads of infirmation, simply it created sonic waves in the water that implode and clean as it does, itslike gently bubble brushing items. Yes it works well gets into the nooks and crannies manual cleaning never really can. Its expensive but for me worth the investment. The strength of the sonic pods are important and frequency they run at. This one i use has adjustabke heat settings also so one can vary that according to the condition if the item being cleaned.
