What more can a man ask for ,out early on the water on a Saturday morning ,catch one or two carp on the long wand 6 weight ,and then nail a couple of barbel. It sure beats strolling in a mall or mowing the lawn.(mind you anything beats the latter).
My boat partner had the privilege of hooking the first one,and a while later we had a double-up which always leads to some fancy footwork on the boat. While he was fighting his, I cast the trusty old SALMO-SLIDER into the drink next to an old tree which is in about 1.5-2 meters of water. Although not a monster,he gave a good account of himself and like I mentioned negotiating the anchor rope ,and a boat partner who suddenly owns a Pitch Black with red underbelly SALMO SLIDER,incidently from exactly the time you started missing one of yours, was quite fun.
