We use it when the bass is very difficult , then use the more finesse approach, i put it on finesse jig head hook. Fishing it with an open hook usually in open water in place that i know holds a lot of bass , you fish it real slow just bouncing of the bottom on the same way makriel and paper mouth can be caught, it can also be used as a finesse" mojo " just by hooking it and adding a split shot on the line this can be used for red breast , canary , blue .
