Ruimsig Dam

We all went fishing at the dam from Friday morning until this morning. Unfortunately I had to leave yesterday morning and I left Chris_Leon and Martiens in there own fate to catch fish.

This morning I arrived there to go and visit them and noticed that something was not right. They were all still asleep and I woke them up.

They were robbed during the course of the night without them even knowing of it.

Some of the goods that were missing was Chris's wader, landing net and landing mat. Even the cooler box was missing.

Well guys just a lesson to learn even though the equipment was less than 3 mtrs away from you guys is that it is unsafe to go and fish I believe anywhere were we been fishing.

So either you have to stay awake the whole night or rent a security guard to look after you while you fish and sleep. So sad to post this report as it is a very nice venue.

Dis presies wat ek laas naweek gedoen het, nou moet ek haar net bietjie groter maak dat sy 'n "vicious" polisie hond word en dinge kan verskeur.

Haar sommer leer hoe om 'n goeie snuif hond te word dat sy al die groot visse kan uitsnuif. LOL

Die enigste nadeel is dat hulle presies weet as jy gaan visvang. As jy hul nie saamvat nie dan is hul bekke dik!

Dit is so, jare gelede het ek 'n miniatuur doberman gehad wat altyd saam met my gaan visvang het. As ek haar nie saam gevat het was die res van die klub kwaad vermy was sy was almal se vriend.

Dis baie snaaks, as ek hom saamvat na klubkompetisies dan speel die kinders hom stokvlou en natuurlik eet hy soos n koning want almal gee vir hom iets lekkers. Die enigste probleem is dat hy met n helse houding by die huis aankom, dan mag die ander honde nie naby hom kom nie!

Maar om terug te kom by my onderwerp dit is sad as 'n mens jou sport beoefen en jy moet drastiese stappe vat om jou toerusting te beskerm. Nie eers gepraat van jou lewe nie.

Ons vis gereedskap kos baie geld en ek is seker enige visserman sal jou vertel dat hulle hard daarvoor gewerk het om hulle toerusting te kry.

Ek stem saam! Hoekom moet dit nodig wees om 'n groot groep mense te wees, net om jou eie veiligheid te verseker.

Hier naby ons is 'n baie lekker dam met groot vis, maar die probleem is dat die dam teen die lesotho grens is. Tot dusver was daar nog geen insidente wat ek van weet nie, maar wil 'n ou regtig die kans vat om jou vrou na so 'n plek toe te vat.

dats f*#$%d up... its dissapointing that k*k like this happens... by the sounds of it, it mightve been other anglers as specific stuff was stolen and they knew not to touch the rod's as the alarms wouldv been set off on the pods... just my guess
