Don't waste your time there. It's been generally pathetic. If you see the amount of fish that come out in ratio of the number of people including the many variations of dips and floaties.
Fished there Sunday past, one small ghost carp, I saw no other fish caught
Even the guys dropping baits near good structure etc got squat while I was there. Hardly a keepnet in the water. Fortunately I don't own one as I am totally against using them or any form of keeping fish overnight for a photo. Just my opinion.
Friend of mine was at Hengelaars vriend for one of the Long weekends also reported pathetic, very few fish caught​ by anglers around him. 3 fish 4days and nights fishing.....Very slow.
I am beginning to wonder why there are few if any comps fished at this venue. I think I know why.
Rather try Rietvlei and if you do get a fish for the day it will be more worth while.
