Hi all. I am kinda new around here and would like a little input as to various options I may consider when purchasing my new setup. I am wanting advice on a rod to be used for Rock and Surf fishing. I mainly dropshot, but would like to occasionally fish baits as well especially from the rocks. What would you recommend rod length wise, that I could use as a all round rod that will have enough backbone from the rocks as well and not compromise on the action for dropshotting. Also is 10 ft going to be too heavy for dropshotting the whole day. Only interested in fishing edibles. Thinking of Stradic 5000 for a 9 or 10 ft setup. Im sick of buying unsuitable equipment just so that tackle shops can make a sale at my expense. P.S. I do already realise that each setup has its own use. Any genuine advise will be appreciated.
