In a momentary loss of concentration as my FIL calls it, I acquired a 1976 Range Rover Classic a few months back. I was getting tired of commuting with the Defender and decided to have a dedicated commute and fun vehicle.
Been a labour of love thus far and non to cheap I must say. In fact all links to financial logic have long ago been jetsoned but then again being a fisherman and serial boat owner that was not to difficult
I have:
- had her resprayed
- rubberised inside
- dashboard been rebuilt
- electronic ignition fitted (Man, no MAN the V8 sounds AWESOME!)
- fuel tank repaired
- winscreen washer replaced
- springs redone
Still have the following left to do:
- upholstery complete being replaced (black headlining, olive seat and panels)
- second bettery system fitted (CTEK 250Dual + Deltec 105AH)
- Front Runner 6 ammo box drawer system with 45 l Campmaster fridge/freezer fitted
- FIL to make my console box, covered in black leather
- Fir booming sound system
Camping goodies are also making their way in:
- Hannibal Impi RTT
- CampMor Bedouin Awning
etc etc
Can't wait to head out to Struis soon or two eScape2 to the Breede for the first summer Spring!
