As the holidays started i brought my first full on bass fishing baitcaster. So i spent a good part of this holiday fishing for bass and i just thought i would make a list of where i went and want i did.
Bulshoek (near klienwilliam)- great loads of largemouth mostly caught on green flukes with a carolina rig. One 5,5kg carp caught on bread and another 2kg +- on a inline spinner. Really great there.
Wienshof- spent boxing day there and caught 9 small 400g to 800g mostly on flukes and some on spinner baits.
Eikendal(?)- HORRIBLE there is a bass dam and a trout dam. On the bass dam it is almost impossible to fish because there are so many weeds and you have to fly fish and there are so many bushes you get stuck while you cast. I also doubt that there are many fish in that dam. I did spot a few carp though.
We ended up going back to Wienshof and caught another five small bass. A guy fishing next to me landed a real nice +- 2kg bass on fluke. proves that wienshof does not only have small bass.
Princess Vliei- nothing but i believe that it was really to windy to fish, a man call Werner (i think) that works at fred tuckers fishing shop said that at the right time there are some real nice bass to be caught there.
