Reels to compliment a Sensation DC 150 / 180

Good day guys,

What reels would you recommend to use with the Sensation DC range 150/180 (12ft / 13ft)?

I like the idea of a bigger reel for a better cast, an also 4+BB setup with a nice high reel ratio.

Any comments would greatly appreciated?

Depends on what ur price range is. But for a R1200 i got myself two shimano Dl 10 000's and they are awsome! Nice line capacity aswell. Otherwise u can look at the big pits but they will go for R1200 a reel. Also with the DL i got a spear spool for each reel wich i filled with braid when fishing obstacles.

This good advice. I will look into the Shimano reels. I currently have Carp Cruncher 10000's (entry level), they are good reels for now, but as you know...new rods will drive you towards new reels.

I think if you are buying the DC rods , the Shimano XTR's are the right reels to compliment the rod. In my opinion, any other cheaper reel won't do the rod justice. My 2c.

Thanks. I have been scouting around and many of the guys say exactly the same thing. XTR 10000 with the 4:9:1 ratio. Avg price for them are around R1100.
