Re decking advice

Hi all, I am busy with a redecking/extension project on my zim river ranger and need a bit of advice.

I used 18mm marine ply for the new deck and support columns, would it be an overkill to add a layer off fibreglass on top and below the deck or would an epoxy coat be sufficient?

a layer of glass is important to seal the wood so must be done top and bottom, the 18mm marine ply is a overkill but will be rock solid
