RDW was giving lot of smaller fish. Roodekoppies has been delivering big pre-spawn bass getting their nests ready. Bass of 2 - 3kg was caughtthe last week or 2. Buffelspoort is still about a month away from getting the pre-spawn lunkers going. Was at Buffelspoort Saturday and battled. Rensoterkop has very low water level at about 17% full. Heard that there is a huge problem with the dam wall and they can't keep it fuller than 22% so even with the good rains we had, Renosterkop is a risk to go fishing with a boat. Low level also makes it easy for the guys netting and they set nets across the whole dam (800m plus long) so be careful when driving with a boat at high speed. A net in the prop will cause huge damage. The road from the main gate to the launch area is also very bad (last time I was there was January this year so might have been fixed) and then just getting onto the concrete launch pad was an issue as there were dongas you had to go through next to the launch. Not sure what the cold front we are experiencing now will have on the RDW and Roodekoppies bass but this will be the 2 dams to try now.
