Plaasdam

Hi Gents

We are about 20 guys fishing a small social competition on a farmer's "plaasdam" tomorrow.

Need some quick advice . Seeing that the dam has not been fished for 2 years do I keep it simple , with minimal flavours ? or seeing that it is going to be a cold and windy one tomorrow , go for stronger flavours ?

Hi BeMax - try using the crust of a fresh white loaf. Take a small piece of crust and thread it through the hook twice. You can use any trace. I have had huge success with this method on farm dams. You can always add some flavour to it as you go on.
