Nothing significant at PLM itself but go the oppisite side of swatrvlei. On the n2 towards sedgefeild just over the vlei bridge turn to the left.gravel road drive for less than one click cross the railway line and park on the side of the road.Walk along the rail(no more trains)towards plm.You can veer of to the left of the rail before the bridge and walk along a well defined path to the main inlet of the main body of water of the swartvlei.Be carefull of the deep hole and fast flowing water at the turn of the tides here.steenies grunters garrick stumpnose and cob in the water around the bridge.Have fun

Another productive spot is the main channel of the vlei behind placid waters in sedgefeild. In the road where the post office is in drive in georges' direction and as soon as you have passed placid waters on your left you will come to a sand track turn left into this track and carry on untill you get to the waters edge garrick steenbras and grunter will be found here.Be carefull off the dark water.verry deep holes. The property at the bridge and here is all state owned.Gerrickes at swartvlei beach is also good for dropshot.Do not leave valuables in plain sight in your car here when you go fishing at gerrickes. If you need any further info just shout

Hi Guys,

Few years ago i fished with prawn on the vlei at Pinelake, caught BIG grunter, i went out on their small boats, dont anchor the boat, let the current take you, this way the your bait is constantly moving.

hope this helps
