Shot, thanks guys.

Reefman, thanks for the Mana (If I knew how to give you some I would too).

Wow Volcom, I see your PB is a 35Kg Kingie - i am humbled.  And I assume that must have been rock and surf, if so......."we're not worthy".  You on a whole other level bru.

Anyway, a few other pics I forgot to add.  Here's the island we camped on, probably no more than half a kilometer accross and inhabited only seasonally by local fisherman but permanently by 10'000 rats!  But its not too bad, at least the rats do the dishes and clean up after you.

And here's Mike Hansen with a nice blue spot Kingie taken around the wreck.  Mike also got a nice cuda of around 9.5Kg, but I can't seem to find the photo.

Hi Gilly!  Excellent report, great photos!

Do you perhaps have the contact details of the lodge?  Did you use the lodge's boat?

Reefman, what are your thoughts on starting a database of angling destinations in Moz, detailing the type of fishing e.g. short etc?  Could be a great resource.  Apologies if this is already on Sealine somewhere!

Marshie!

Leny, why are you shouting at us? Please keep in mind that according to good netiquette typing in all caps is considered shouting.

RATS!!! Literally.  They don't bother you in the day time but they out in droves at night when you go to sleep and will clear up any tit bits you leave lying around.

Have any of you ever fished at the Yatch Mould, Wilson's Wharf in Durbs at night?  Those rats steal your bait from right under your nose! Sneaky b*$t*rd$.

Could be, not too sure, but the markings on that fish were very different from the king mack - see Paddy's King Mack which had vertical stripes / bands whereas mine had definite spots, which is why I suggested queen mack (a.k.a. Natal Snoek)

Picture doesn't show the spots too well though. I'm not too good with species ID, but spots or stripes, still made good sushi!

BTW, any idea on Paddy's kingie-like fish, the one in the photo with a dark background.  I'm completely lost on that one, but I suggested amberjack as a shot in the dark.  Would appreciate some help on that one.

Thanks

Gilly
