End of August found me doing some bank angling in the Okavango. With water levels very low, my modus operandi was as follow. Drive around looking for rocky areas. Make a couple of casts. Move to the next area and repeat. Rock close to sand banks being the jackpot.
Sometimes you hit, most of the times you miss. Small copper spoons from Storm was the most successful lure.
During the evenings you relax while drifting a fillet. Sometimes you will get a cat and sometimes more.
Where can you fish a more beautiful piece of water??
Locals will first try and talk you out of the fish then try and catch the released fish. Luckily they all understand the international language for "go away"!!
When the fillet gets eaten by something without whiskers.
