Chaps,

I only posted that pic as a surflaunch...I will remove it immediately if it creates emotion, and it was done in the greatest of respect

Please do not debate the incident around this pic further as I know there are family members on Sealine, even though I do not know who they are

Yes Vidal and someone sadly died there. It happens every year that some people die on our coast line. I never want to be the one who has to tell a wife and kids their husband and father died offen my boat.

I did suggest a solution for this, and it will have a double advantage. Safer launching and more fish.

How do one get you guys to come together for a change and take this one on ? IMO very doable. Your life may be the next one it could save.
how does your boat catch more fish

this is not a launch but a beaching at the recent rose bowl that east rand boat fishing won at Sodwana i just want to thank PAJERO MAD and his team  for all his efforts and the support given to the comp...it would not be possible without support of people like him and guys the cars they had down there are great mitsubishi are becoming a very big force in the 4x4 market and ill definately be looking at one in the near future

Having followed the "scuppers" threads, I was looking for surf launch pics and found this old thread

The following pics are of a seaworthy displacement boat:

They have full selfdrained decks and massive bilge pumps, because the ocean WILL get on and even in the boat sooner or later

Somehow don't think our ski boat scuppers are much more than a "feel good" thing

Bob across the border?

No man, was listening to him and drinking to the beat, and then my fins started itching!  :)

Next two pics proof you are far safer on the open ocean than close to a beach:
