Hi I joined today.
I have been trying to fish for years now.
And eventually gave up.
Then I had a lot of time recently to reflect on my life.
I decided to make some changes and get back in the fight with fishing.
To catch at least one real big one to remember.
I just came back from uilkraal the weekend where me and a buddy spent the whole of Sat fishing.
14 hours in total.
Although there wasn't much to write home about i had a blast of a time.
We went to Gansbaai harbor wall at 8 Sat morning with a couple of white mussel and pilchers we bought we spent 10 hours there and this was the results:

8x rock fish 1 x Slime Eel
8x masbuncker (biggest one was 20cm) 2 x Skaamhaai
1x Rock Cod +- 20cm 1 x Shark with black stripes on head
1 x Baber (catfish)
3 x Bigeye (as locals call it)
2 x Jan Bruin (both +- 25cm)
5 x Masbuncker
2 x rockfish
when we got back to uilkraal we went straight to the beach and tried our luck.
There were some guys around us with lines in the water but not one that got anything. We spent 4 hours there.
Only (me) getting a shark (type: Don't know) and (buddy) a tiny catfish.
I am very eager to go soon again.
Maybe with some tips to try.
Also this year started off really bad for me so I am at present moment unemployed, without a car and broke.
I do however have the means to organize accommodation at Uilkraal if anyone is willing to go try and prepared to take me along for the trip....
