Hi Guys/Oaks/Ouens/Dudes
Im a very passionate angler fished club for over 14 years, got my Provincial colours 3 years in a row, so the ocean and activities around it, is more than just a passion, i love it!! Just some in-site.
Now i would like to try and reach for a good title in spearfishing, i have always wanted to do this sport, but got too caught up in my angling, so as a kid i use to make my own spears and try them out in tidal pools and behind tidal pool. Lol
I have bought me some gear, i had a 90cm Rabbitech speargun, but got smashed against rocks one-day diving close to some rocks, an there goes a brand new speargun on its second outing, tried to find it, just went missing, well now i own a 110cm Rabbitech, took it out out twice, have hard plastic rabbitech fins, still working for a proper camo wetsuite, but im a beginner, deepest dive i did was about 9 10m off some reefs in southern cape where im originally from.
So... how do i go about getting into a club or get some1 to show me the ropes on getting a bit deeper into this growing sport, i try to practise my apnea often and do some training, but advice from experienced spearo's is needed.. any help?...i live in Durbanville and some times work shifts so its not always easy, but i dont wana go alone if i have a chance to.
Any advice or help and making new buddies with same interests would be awesome.
