Good morning All.

As promised here is a look at the new Adrenalin Xmaster Pro 30 and 40 model. This is the same reel the difference being the 30 spool is like the torium 20 and saltist 40 size while the 40 model is larger like the speed master and close to a torium 30 line capacity type size. The 50 existing model is even larger for the highest line capacities where desired.
Lets look at the 30 and 40 models. The 30 the is the same size as the older normal xmaster 20; check comparison picture; but the spool takes a lot more line and the gearing differs these are now 7.1.1 ratio, in both stainless steel main and pinion gears with carbon fiber drags and larger bearings as well. The dogs have been redesigned they are double so no anti reverse failures here and they are positive in other words spring loaded to click all the time so you know they are working. The main shaft is twice as thick as the older models, the spool shafts also beefed up much more too. All around a stronger and more robust reels with new extras added. What i like the design remains graphite and stainless steel so durability is going to be very good in terms of salt water resistance.

Have a look at the pictures check the 30 model and the larger 40 pro xmaster next to it to see the difference. I have been informed that the 40 models are in stock, the 30 models arrive early in November and the baby model 20 the end of November.

This is really exciting times for the Adrenalin Xmaster pro range i am sure. Pricing for what you getting is going to knock the socks off all other brands.

Have a peek look at the design build, check the sizes of gears, shafts, bearings spool shaft thickness, double dogs,Carbon drags and so much more, you will see for what they will be costing its a no brainer not to have each model in your arsenal for rock and surf use.

I hope you enjoy the post, regards Jonathan.

Hi Jonathan

Thanks for the informative review. The 20 and 30 is what interests me. Do you recommend any mods to these reels, ie. bush to bearing etc?

Regards

Thank you for the report Old Salt.

In your opinion how much better are the Xmaster Pro 30 and 40 compared to the original Xmaster 20 and 40?

And for how much are the Xmaster Pro 30 and 40 retailing?

Just bought the X-master 40 yesterday and took it to the field for some casting practice. Very impressed with the reel, casts easily and has a speedy retrieve. Cant wait to land my first fish on it ::tight:

hi Waterkind the old and new models are far apart huge improvements on these older normal x master models.

I have implemented some changes to the drags as in my pics, clutch lever and another small changes.

the 40 i changed drags on we tested to 17kg at 3/4 drag so it will max out higher than the standard ones and will be butter smooth.

Adrenalin have informed these changes will be implemented on the new model 30 and 20 model and all the new production ones in the 40s also.

I love the new ones they really good and pricing will be around R1000 YES please.

Adrenalin can confirm the exact priving, Exciting times ahead guys.
