I am new here and appreciate it a lot. I am from Gauteng but love to fish at the South Coast, Ifafa and Hibberdene.

i live in gauteng myself now but grew up in hibberdene went to suid natal . i love fishing Hibberdene have alot of secret spots there

a good spot is if you park at the hibberdene hotel and walk left towards shad bay past the crowd that is always poaching undersized shad and blacktail and keep walking till you find a small gate in the bushes at the back its about 500 m left of shad bay you will see it makes a huge sand bank with literally no waves waid onto that and cast in the deep channel it makes just before the next sand bank starts you will note its very rocky to left and right but this small patch is clear of rocks , i have caught many kob grunter bronze bream shad as well as small sharks here round about august this spot is filled with garick and i have in past also caught the odd kingy here.There is many other spots i can tell you for certain times of the year to target many different species of fish the wind direction and tides play a very important role in this stretch of coast , as well as times you fish.

look at the attached picture the spot i have highlighted is where the poachers fish as discussed in my last post and the red area is the spot i recommended you will have to work this hole area as the holes and sandbanks tend to not always be exactly at the same spot so walk this beach in red and when you see the 2 banks with the hole cast there and you should be tight

Sorry one more thing. Do you know of any good deep sea charters. I would love to go deep see fishing

Mid july is a good time of year down there depending on the sardine run spots that produce well then is at pumula if you turn off just after the small bridge you will see a path runiing down where you can park under the brindge and the sand spits as per usual
