Hi guys/ Ladies!

I'm new here & just wanna say that I wanna learn as much as possible about angling so please do share your information with me, I really know next to nothing! I only ever caught two fish in my lifetime, once in a crayfish net with my dad when I was 12 lol & one stumpnose 2 years back! It was very small though lol!

Now I want to start angling, I have 2 rods (girlfriend & myself) with entry level reels, the type u get with the rods. they are both OKUMA rods.

I would like to know where I can fish in the cape region & at what times of the year, which bait, type of tackle and so forth...

Great start to register on SL. I wish I had discovered it years ago as the amount of learning and contacts I have made is simply incredible. Be careful your interest may well turn into a lifetime addiction.

Hiya Noob,

I would suggest that you dive straight into the threads where there is a wealth of knowledge and information.

Then get to know a couple of guys online and later tag along for a fishing trip. Sealine is great place to improve your fishing sessions!
