Need some help

Hi all need some help I have installed a Hummingbird fish finder 190c, if I move I do not get no reading it gives me lines threw the screen and fish icons with incorrect depth reading . If I go faster the water sprays up over the motor and on to the deck because of the location of the transducer installation, as per instruction manual!  If I stand on one spot a drift it gives me 2 bottom structural readings at times or a gap in the bottom reading depth and temp readings correct when drifting!
^^..

Sounds like bubbles getting under the transducer. A photo of back and side of transducer / transom will help.

Hi saan,

You have effectively put your transducer in a 'wind tunnel', possible the worst thing you could do. For dead-slow idling and stationary this would work fine. Try getting it onto the outside of that starboard hull.

Hi
I have moved the transducer as u advised (Pic ATT) but unfortunately it is worst than before went out yesterday got a structural reading at times when standing still no reading when moving totally blank, water was choppy and when u hit a wave the unit cuts off and u have to switch it on  and when u come to a stop you have to wait for a few min for it to pick up structure but no fish readings and at times the structure go’s away and u get lots of lines on the screen at  30 t0 25 meters of water
We court these babies with no fish reading….!
