Quickly as I am pressed for time.

Check in the box for the brake collars ,little red one or black ones insert both of them, check that the flat sides are on the outside,in other words against the ring that helps to brake the reel.Make sure your spool does not rattle from side to side, very ,very small movement from side to side,do not use line thinner than .40mm  not even .35mm.40 or .42mm is the way to go.Do not overfill the spool, leave 2mm free from full spool.Use 5-6 oz sinker and cast high.and cast high and cast high, and cast high, look at a place in the sky before you cast ,once sinker is gone look at reel and hold thumb close by ,when you see and hear line building gently gently press on side of spool gently, you only want to slow it down not brake it completely, when you hear sinker slowing down listen for it on the reel ,gently touch again ,when landed stop spool, click over and repeat about 5000 times ha ha.Just joking you will soon see improvement,Cast high cast smooth and check your spool as well as listen to it,dont worry about sinker it is gone you cannot do anything to it any more

Let me know .The brake blocks are very very important in the beginning.Flat sides outside, you will see they have one rounded and one flat side flat side outside.

Cheers

awesome advise!!

Just one thing though, I had the exact same setup and personaly a 5-6oz is abit heavy for that setup....I used 4oz and 4oz only....

That my 2cents (my personal opinion...)

Sorry Doppie, your'e right I just wasn't sure of the rod's rating, when starting to multiply, heavier sinkers(within the rods range) not only slows your action down but also lets the spool start-up a bit slower(due to the above) and hence makes it more controllable.I watched your vid a while back if memory serves me right, and your casting looked great,I didn't want to comment then for fear of sounding "windgat' but just a general tip, whenever anything goes wrong, slow down, it is the easiest way to overcome most timing issues, when you lengthen your drop to gain a few, slow down even more. Centrifugal forces will generate more speed on your sinker and you'll gain meters without extra effort. Anybody with the will to practice can cast further than he casts without practice, maybe not further than the guy standing next to him,cos that may just be a humongus caster but with practice ,you can be you ownr best.::S
