As Corry said, diving competitions is the best way to get to know different spots and network with other divers.

When you are laying in the bottom in 12 degrees and all you see is purple seaweed drifting past, you think: " why do I do this, there must be more fun sports "

I got to know, virtually the whole coast and made some wonderful friends, through diving compies.

I remember meeting Corry, at the UPE compies, when he started and it is good to see how well he is diving now.

I spoke to Eugene on the weekend and he also thoroughly enjoyed the experience and especially the " flappers " in the harbour.

Thanks for the kind words Marius. I did learn alot from all the "manne" in my days in PE and am still learning everyday.

Also glad I have been able to help a few okes get their feet wet and one has even become an SA Champ. Now I clamber to learn from him, The Padawan has become a Jedi. Hehehe

The "flappers" in the harbour were an awesome sight and I nearly shat myself on the second day when holding the boat. One snuck up to me to see if I had a munchie for it. feeling a big thing sit on your feet when not expecting it doesn't do wonders for the heart rate.
