Keyser,
There was a 16 like that in east London that a frend of a friend redid. he put 2x 60hp yamaha's on (i think 3 cyl). she was over powered, and ass heavy. 2x50's max. 2x40's ideal. Rememebr, a bargain is only a bargain if it does what you want tit to do.
adddingn the extra weight ont he back means you either have to load more upfront (which butts dont like) and means less space for crew/ tackle etc.
I recon look for a good set of 40's

Hi Tkei

Yes I totally agree with you. I have done extensive research on this size Butt and ideal size motors. 40's would be perfect. You can run it on 30's and there was one in PE with 2 x 25's! So I'm in the market for 2 x 40's. If anyone knows of a pair please let me know.

See updated photos of the Butt. Just need to do the trailer now and source the motors.

Hi Mouldie

They are not so much in the way that it's uncomfortable. When you sit and fish on the hatch you don't sit upright with your back straight up against the top hatch. You lean forward when your line is in the water (that is if you don't stand and fish ofcourse). So your feet is mostly on the sides or top of the gunnels.
