My father in law told me a while ago he has some old reels he wants to give me and last night I went to pick them up.  I thought it was going to be some rusty old models which I would not be able use but then came the big surprise.

Here is a little Shakespeare 2301R - It needs some love.

That Sigma is an underrated reel. I have an 040 and it is really well built with a nice smooth drag.

All steel construction and quite a bit of stainless in it. I would be curious to see how it behaves with braid.
