hi guys , im looking to build some 6-9 ounce grapnell sinker moulds but am really battling to find the 8 ounce graps at shops. so i thought hey, what volume of lead is 8 ounce, 8oz is 226g. density of lead 11.34g.cm3 so volume for 8oz is 19.9cm3. so then i thought hey why not design my own sinker and have fun with the shape. so heres the question,
what material can i make the model sinker out of to make mould around, substance must be workable, able to do a water density test, place in measuring jug and see how much h2o it displaces. and able to be baked so the plaster of paris can be dried properly before being sent to the foundry.
thanks in advance, first time diy guy
