My suggestion for that time of the year, as it will be cold focus on soft and sweet. I would focus on small bait like a soft comp. float with a sweet white dough backing. Dips to be used try FX/Quatro/Banjo for a start and if nothing happens put an activator on with the sweet dip like fx/perdeby/devilsfork or fx/china/almondsup on that you would defnitly get a pick-up. Regarding to the feeding, youve got the time start boiling fine maize, make sure the feed is soft and that will attract the fish.

Mihanzi is one of the top rated venues at the Vaal, would recommend it. Let us know how it went.
I there, I have only been to Mahanzi once and caught some nice fish, go to about 140Mts that should be about 9mts deep. some very good fish on duivelsdrek and soft bomb. A nice spot is go right after entering, this side has electricity and try to get the first or second spot closest to the gate. Cheers Rob O
