Monofilament keep cutting my finger

Good day Guys.
I fish with a Blue Marlin G3, every now and then I cut my finger, for trying to rocket the bait.
Its getting a little tiring, I just discovered that there is a tool called a bionic finger. From what I can see, this is more aimed at braid.

Can this tool be used on mono filament line?Im not interested in buying braid, for I cant afford that type of line.

Hi Tool_Fan, the bionic finger will work with either mono or braid but it might be cheaper to just use a strip of duct tape on your hand or look for one of the neoprene casting gloves or sleeves that goes over the finger.

Bionic the way to go. make it a permanent solution instead of crappy tape or a glove that will eventually wear through.

Make sure your drag is locked before you cast.
If the line slips in the cast the line will burn/cut you
Just be ready to loosen your drag if something big hits you.

A casting glove will work also a piece of duct tape over your finger tip. A bionic finger will work the best and like Bigben said its a permanent solution and wont need replacing.

What reel are you using? How are you cutting your finger? Bit stumped here..Maybe you need to fish more often and make your finger tougher? :)

If you using a grinder, use braid..if multiplier..use it properly?
