Here are a few pictures of the first electric reel i got to sort out. A MIYA EPOCH reel. Have a look at the insides which i am certain most have never seen yet. Lots of gears and reduction gears, a small motor which looks like a brushless DC type high torque one to me. Nice to see this come across my workbench, it was sent by the agents in Johannesburg, they are also the agents for Maxell reels. To the people who dont want to work push a button and the reel does the rest for you, it retrieves and has a line level wind guide also so all you need to do is hold the rod.
