Mini Speargun

Does anybody know where I can get hold of a small speargun, i like to call it a Mullett Gun. Between 45-70cm.

Is anyone selling one or does anyone know where to get hold of one in SA.

Even better does anyone know how to make one?

Else speak to Louis at Rabitech, he'll be able to shorten a gun to your specifications.

Someone I met at a dive spot told me Rabitech has closed down. Can anyone confirm if they are still located in Kuilsriver?

Sorry back to the subject. HuntTheGrunt, I took an old one and made it shorter by removing the tip and shortening the shaft. Simple really, but the trick comes in shortening the spear and the latex tubing. Not an easy task and to get the tubing to still perform optimally takes measurement after measurement. The spear can also just be cut to the required length but you will need to refit the barb with a new rivet. That I would suggest you get done professionally so that the barb still has the correct open close action.

Rabitech is most definitely still open, was there just now.  Seems like all the doppies hang out there - bumped into Tommy Botha and Darren Shiels at the same time :)

its still open. Buy an old speargun ogg gumtree and get louis to modify it for u if u cant do it yourself. It is really easy. what is a bit tricky is to dill the spear and fix a barb. it really wont cost u too much. I have 2 60cm guns. great for caves, dirty water and thick kelp
