Hi Guys just an update in connection with the Maria Duplex lure. Been used quite extensively lately. This is a 31 gram lure which can be thrown with a spinning stick and retrieved at a fast speed like A RAPALA. has shown a distinct advantage as my friend on 3 occasions launching with jetski up at Zinkwazi has been getting the snoek feeding on sprat showls. The other day got 15 compared to 5 being the closest boat. Another boat off yellowtail spot off Ballito deep came across the bonito feeding on a bait ball got 9 bonitto and a yellowfin on them. This morning no snoek at umgeni but the wolfhering  ( Silkies ) jumped on. On the way back to durban stopped at a reef limestone and the shad could not resist it. Worth looking at !! Probably the most effective lure I have seen around for awhile. Going to be taken to Guinjata soon to be tested in Mozam.

yes can troll but recommended higher speed like 10 to 11 km hr . my mate been using them at zinkwazi on a jet ski but running up to shoal within 20 or 30 metres then throwing with a spinning stick and retrieving at high speed recently had 15 fish and the closer boat to him that day had only 5. Extremely effective. and one more thing in case anyone thinks he was over the limit there where 2 onboard !!!:wfish

thanks for the info.

Do you know what spinning stick and reel he is using from the ski?

I know that long sticks can be a bit of a mission from the ski.

not really a hassle as i have built him 2 piece lamiglass carbon rods up to 8'6 and easy to stow and can throw half ounce to 2 oz lure !
