I have mixed powder with thinners ,dipped some snoek leads and baked it for 20min . Will i have the same strenth as regular powdercoating ? It looks very nice and smooth.

hmmm I don't know about that I built myself a fluid bed and coat with that and bake it. if you drop it does it chip or crack?

one did fall but did not crack i took a knife and scratched it looks good to me

why did you mix with thinners , if you warm up the leads you can dip straight away into the powder. too get a good bond you need to bake at 180'C for 10min .

i did warm and dip but coat was very thick ,did i do something wrong? maybe keep it in to long . Hou does a fluidbed work what do i use for the coating ?

It was thick because the powder needs to be fluffed up a bit. A fluid bed basically makes the power like fluid. it Aerates it. You get a nice thin layer of powder coat on your lures that way.I have a clip of how it looks when its at work on the site here somewhere have a look

made a fluid bed but not working very good how much powder must i put in ? sould i allow more air to flow?

Sorry only saw this post now. I start with the highest setting on. When the powder bubbles without making blow holes its right. You can also test it when the powder becomes mobile like water in the cup
