Lowrance fish finder repairs

Good day

Can anyone advise who is able to service lowrance fishfinders?

Lowrance HDS5x. Third unit to go in 5 years. It is out of warranty now and as in one of the threads below lowrance will not repair. This was a replacement finder and it looks like it has been opened before.

You Durban blokes are still lucky, the lowrance agents are there. My honest opinion, trash it. Get a Furuno or Garmin. I had a lowrance , purely cause they were the only ones giving a 3 year warranty, but its worth sh!t after 3 years. Had my unit for 5 years, with intermittent problems, one place in CT used to be agents and work on it, they stopped. The agents in Durbs told me its time to replace the unit.WTF!! The Furuno and garmin on my first boat was 15 years old! So, now everything on the boat is back to Furuno. My 10 year old radar was repaired by Furuno last year without issue....only problem was moisture in the dome. Lowrance is only good for the 3year warranty, after that toss it......its like a landrover, once out of warrenty get rid of it. The units work well but are to fancy with to many plugs and boxes and busses....just extra place that get wet and cause havoc. Furuno is simple, power cable, trancducer and gps, no boxes or busses or aditional powercables and nonsens.

Yes would be a shame to have to spend a whole lot of money to replace the unit if there is just a small fault and it can be repaired.
Next unit will be Garmin...if I can't find anyone to look at this one.
