Looking For Cape Town Clubs & Groups

Hi,

I am new to angling and fishing, but I am very eager to get started in this sport.  Can someone please tell me if there are any clubs or groups in the cape town area who would be able to teach / train this newbie?  I really am a fish out of water :)

What do I need to get started? Equipment? Tackle? Permits?? What, who and where do I begin??

Well, welcome to the sport.
What type of angling do you want to get into?

Land based, off shore etc.
There's a wealth of info from all walks here and someone will be able to help you for sure, once we know a little bit more about what you are keen to do.

Thanks very much for the response.

Initially I would be interested in land based, and probably after 6-12months would like to move onto offshore. So info and contacts would be appreciated for land based beginners.

If you looking to get competetive then join an angling club, if not then keep a lookout on the Saltwater Forum, guys hook up most weekends for a throw. In the main season i am out most weekends and you are more than welcome to tag along.
