Long weekend in Dec

Hi All,

Me again! Do any of you okes know where on can catch anything on the long weekend in Dec (from the 13th to the 16th).  Well, Im making it a long weekend and taking the 15th off and would like to get in as much fishing as possible (the wife will be working).  Any good spots where one can catch anything really.  I just wanna go out and wet my line.

langebaan is always a good bet,provided the right wind is blowing(se)prawn and white mussel for bait,the reefs along strand also good but always windy,prawn and fish bait is a must,im sure you know beach road so before road takes a bend park there and the reefs in front of you weve caught everything from dassie to cracker to kob,hangklip and bettys bay this time of year we caught plenty galjoen and kob in between and if you lucky even geelbek,again prawn and fish bait,prawn can be pumped at rooi els,some of the spots close by you could try without worrying too much about car or your own safety

Are the Gallies still biting in Bettys/Hangklip?  Around where in bettys and hangklip do u normally fish and catch something?

in hangklip where they launch their boats is where we fished last time i was there,slightly ti the right of the slip youll see some rocks that youll wade out to,stand on there and cast to your left,nice spot and also walk to your left of the slip and past the stonehouse,youll see a big bay and some big rocks on other side of the bay,ive been fishing from those rocks since i was a laaitie,you might get lucky with steenbras or gallies or kob but most likely kreef,best to fish from there with foam,dawidskraal in bettys is a good bet,havent been there yet

Hi Gavs

Remember the season is closed for Gallies till next year! I'll be trying my luck at the Breede this weekend. Also took the Monday off!
