Hi guys -

I played around with some thin copper piping, old aluminium key holders I had in my garage, & some small metal plates I bought from Mohammed (Cheapest Fishing Tackle CHATSWORTH KZN).

I added some red flasfers to the split rings on the copper piping, cut them at an angle , added split rings & some hooks , added lead to others for weighted spoons , shaped the key holders a bit , added a bit of hammer action , 3D-Eyes to the one key holder with the hooks & rings, as well as to the small metal spoons - & "BOB's Yr Uncle" Now to try them out !!

These are intended for light tackle estuary and surf & I suppose could be used for Bass fishing to !

Any critic welcome to make it out-fish my ideas.

Very cool Ben have you considered filling the copper pipes with lead to get a bit more distance on your casts?

They look excellent.

The holllow hex pipe and tubing should push a massive plume of bubbles at a lower retrieve speed.

Hi jb2 - It does , yip at a slow retrieve it does push air bubbles through , which is exactly what I want , though not as much I would like it to. Then it ends up with no or hardly swim action. I will try to play around a bit and see what can be altered on others to improve if there is a way.

I am not a fundi on lure making , but try to make the "oldies of time" which stood the test , ie copper spoons filled with lead for weight , silver ones , poppers , very few salty flies etc.

Hi Shaun - Yes I have. Caught shad on the small silver metal spoons & aluminium S-bends. Huge fun with the light outfit.

Then - bass on the S- bend, and copper spoons. Still need to spend more time at the H20 to get more results ! (Hopefully) I am chuffed even if I catch a gurnard , cause then I get to have a battle with what I am trying to do in the water ! Catching fish !!::S  :)
