LGF's Other Floatation device

Guys

Went to have a look at the Dory Hull boat yesterday with Vlakvark (who's got numonia BTW, must have been because he stuck his snout into some cold hole in the ground and got stuck, hehehehehe) anyhow, the boat seems fine, the trailer seems excellent, the motor seems great and the best news is that the seller dropped his price by another 2g's so now it's R14K instead of the original R20K that was 16 at a point. so yeah i guess she's changing ownership by the end of the next week or so.

Couldn't take pics but will do as soon as we take her out onto the water which should've been this weekend but the current owner isn't around and next weekend we'll be in Lakenvlei so probably the weekend after that the 21st or so.....

NO NO NO NO, I'm not turning my back on "DADUCKY", She'll still stay on as part of the fishing tackle/gear/hunting devices and will be used from time to time when we go off to places that doesn't allow petrol engined boats onto their water/s. She's served me very well so loyal to her I'll stay......

Hi LGF
If you are buying 'nother boat, check out whether it has buoyancy or not! If not, you will be in for a few extra Gs when the new safety legislation kicks in.

Thanx LL, been dead in the bed with sum sorta bronchitus thingy, and didn't even really log in but I'm back now and will get back to normal coughing real soon I hope... will do the search and has somebody contacted the Cat E course instructor/s (southern Gauteng) yet ito of discounts, attendance slots, etc?

thanx LL, got the read on that, now to get that kinda info from the seller about the boat I intend buying is another thing, and yeah if it hasn't been fitted with the required buoyancy then I'm in for a couple of more G's etc.  And who said fishing from a boat is fun????:doh:dude:

I question who is going to enforce all these new regulations?

What I mean to say that it is all very good and all but who is actually going to police it and implement fines etc?

SAPS? DWAF? SAMSA? LOL?

LGF hope you get a bigger :f1shy soon and that it does not take too long to find one....

Yip me too, just one thing, I don't wanna get a bigger one that will break my scale just yet, a slow progressive PB is just WAAAAAAAAYYYYYY tooooo much fun and has the added advantage of having gotten many new PB's......

So I hope of getting one around 2,5kgs now...... as the 3 PB's up to now have increased with +/- 400grams at a time and my current 1 is at 2,12kg's.
