Thats right, also by the fence down by the pump house. Second what you said. Best of all is that before the winter they had big recycling containers there for glass and plastic but still no one could be bothered to walk or drive to them and chuck their rubbish in! it is sad to see our country go to the dogs... If you confront anyone they simply tell you that it is "job creation".
It is funny how these okes keep their vehicles clean but dont give a monkey about their surroundings...
We have such a beautiful country but we wont have this for long if it continues at this rate coupled with the ignorance of our "fellow countrymen"...
All that would end up happening is Leeuwkop shutting their doors to the public like a lot of other places I used to fish down in the lowveld!

The one good thing we noticed yesterday was that the underwater plants are growing again. The kids wanted to cast, so I rigged a rod and reel with a 3oz grapnel sinker for them. They pulled out a few lumps of grass and there was a healthy population of blood-worms on the roots. Hopefully this will help this years new hatch to survive and grow big.

I have not been fishing there that long, about 1 year and I too have noticed a lot of grass for the first time. I did notice that there are small shoals of fish which is not a new hatch as noticed them early on before the winter. Unfortunately the water gets so green in the summer that I could not make out what they were... There might very well be some kurpers left in there, but not sure as there seems to be cats in big numbers in there.
Anyways, vegitation is great and I am sure it will improve the fishing - O2 levels and structure.

Things have not improved unfortunately and this time of the year you will be plagued with various Christmas parties and pumping music...you will also be plagued with drunk party goers who will come over for a drink and a chit chat...
