Leader knoop 7lb main met 20lb leader

Tx Enigma, will have to try it as I lost 2 Combi rigs yesterday at Roodeplaat (Mar-Leo side, opposite Hengelaarsvriend), both instances the knots came undone. One was a Spyker knot & the other the Albright. Really added insult to the blanking injury (well everyone blanked yesterday except for the 2 barbel that came out).

Never had a problem before with the 10lbs main onto the 17lbs leader....the 7lbs main as well as the leader were Double X

When tying the spyker knot make sure the double maqinline is 10cm so you can get a good grip on it

Make 3 turns with the thick (leader) line around the double line, making more prevents the knot from being pulled closed.

Wet the knot before pulling tight and pull the knot till it gets a glassy look to it. I have never had the spyker knot pull loose on me yet and don't expect it will (if I make sure it is pulled tight properly ie till it gets that glassy look to it.
