Hi guys,wonder if anyone can help me. I am launching from Durban skiboat club for the first time with a jestki and wonder if you can give me any tips where to fish in the area as I have no idea.Are you allowed to go south to Bluff with the jestki from Durban skiboat club?Last time when I phoned them they said no,but I think I saw a post that at the last agm it was decided that jetskis can cross the harbour? Is this the case?Any advice where to fish in the area will be much appreciated.How far is blue lagoon from the durban skiboat club launch? Regards andre

Nope still can't cross the harbour mouth with a jet ski. Fishing close in has not been good lately due to the dirty / Green water. Most fish being caught at the moment are coming out in the deep.
Check the waypoints section for Virginia barge and the Fonteo wreck coordinates. Its your best bet for any decent fish close in

Have to disagree MichaelK. Did my induction at DSBC two weeks ago and they confirmed Jetskis are now allowed to cross the harbour.

Chuck / Eric, does anyone have more info than this. Surely, it cant be a free for all - cross as you wish scenario. Are there any procedures in place - radio, calling harbour master for crossing, or is it just as simple as "full taps" before you get flattened by something slightly larger coming out the harbour? DOes anyone have anything in writing from port authorities, or is it all word of mouth. I am not saying I do not believe it, but I think we should just cover our exhaust pipes, cause if there are *Terms and conditions, and we do not abive by it - could be detrimental.
