i use old dog food tins, i just punch a hole about 2/3 the way up the can with a screw driver and pour out the hole, or tramp on the can a little to give it a lip that you pur out of, it last's for ages, and i have used the can's in the fire, and on gas burners, but remember the can is hot and use a welding glove or something

Use pliers to grab the can, just bend the top of the can to make it easier to hold.
