Did a 6 day fishing trip in Kosi in Feb and Easter weekend, fished both sides of estuary and eastuary self ,dropshot/and bait all tides inc spring tide fishing was extremely poor, can anyone shed some light on this, thought Kosi was a good spot ?? maybe tropical storm/cyclone in Moz upset feeding patterns ?? or is it the fishkraals in estuary having an effect on fish in area ??

Mike, which way did the wind blow? Often a South Wester/Westerly wind flattens the sea, brings in cold water and makes the water too clear for the fish to feed. Couple that with pressure problems due to a cyclone and shew... anything can happen! But to have a whole 6 days of poor conditions is not very fortunate, sorry about that. my 2c. But I'm sure there are a lot more theories and opinions out there...

You will find that when a fantastic spot like Kosi doesn't produce... you can bet your bottom $ that the rest of the North Coast is gonna be blanking too! It's just the way things work sometimes... Whether it's pressure changes, water temp, water clarity or a combination of them all.... sometimes things just don't work, and it will affect the entire Indian Ocean.
