This was about two years ago when my little brother and i decided to take on Koppie dam in winter as it really produced for us in december when it was boiling hot.
We ended up with frost bite on our hands and ears after 4 days of fishing, was no joke! literally had to have skin cut off my hands but i still rate it was worth it, fishing during the days were great but at night it was so chilly we basically fished from the caravan and we couldnt keep up with the feeding frenzy.
The following pics were of the first few fish that came out and later on there was no desire to run for the camera as we were kept busy by our rods. our feeding area had really kicked in on day 2 and we were eventually fishing with 10Ft rods making pathetic casts to minimise the time it took to reel the fish in.
I have never experienced anything like it! and for the first time ever i was eventually sick of fishing. Couldnt believe it.
Overall we had an average of 147 fish come out per day for the 4 days between my little brother and me! went home exhausted! And now all the fish we caught swim in our farm dam at the entrance of the main gate at koppies dam! WHAT a TRIP!
