Caan anyone give me advise on what one can catch at Kogelbay off the rocks, left of the beach there.

Ja ek het al so paar keer gevis daar.
Dis n nice plek vir Galjoen vang, maar mens sit noggal baie vas daar.

I saw a guy land a kob around morning. Does this happen regularly. Is there anything there which one can catch with light tackle? Im taljing about fish like blacktail, hottentot and mullet.

Hi Infinity,
Ive caught there twice, got lots of nice pulls, but its hard to land a fish with all the rocks. Ive heard of guys catching nice cob there and the water gets deep real quick, but be ready to lose at least one sinker for every 3 casts. light tackle will work better. Alot of mullet around gordons bay.

I use to dive there. At the seventh parking spot fro the holiday camp I have seen some shad and mullet come right up to the big petruding rock. I recon you will get snagged more than you get fish thou...

A place I've always been interested in is left of the holiday camp...you cross over a bridge where the mouth opens into the sea (don't know the bridge/river name), but I recon on the left bank casting around 45 degrees right....must get kob...

But what would you expect to catch on the beach there?
