Hi Boys and Girls
Ryan and I visited Kloofzight. Yesterday and started off looking for Carp on fly using a DDD and a dropper. Ryan had a carp take and a miss and then every thing went quiet.
I switched to a Mrs Simpson and was into trout almost instantly while Ryan was still trying the persuade the carp to bite. The carp would just swim past what ever was thrown to them and ignore even the most gentile presentations.
At about half past nine we had an awesome but very expensive breakfast and returned to the water. Everything had gone quiet with only one guy managing to catch the pre-school. At round about eleven Ryan gave up on the carp and we changed to bright colored weighted streamers.
The fun started and we stopped counting after Ryan and I both took 3 fish in the first 15 min. We would let the fly sink using floating line give it a quick Short jerk and let it sink again. Most of the strikes came on the sink. We needed to leave at 12 but for the last hour we has a lot of fun.
Kloofsizight is a great place to take the family for a day( bit expensive) but an awesome venue.
