Morning my friend. I got this book the other day, looks pretty awesome. Lots of information. Has a chapter on jbay but mostly in the surrounding areas, ie water tower reef, shark point and second bush. Theres also bellbuoy reef 2 ks offshore from the old marina martinique. St francis seems to have better locations in its close vicinity. Keep well and dive safe.

I wonder who this Oykas is?  NA - possibly, only spearo I know with Freedivers fins and 1000 freedivers gun.

Wonder what book you have?  I must look if I have references for J Bay in my books.

Moggy - Paradise Beach - thanks - I will see what I can find from a local Paradise beach dweller.

Thanks

I have all the old books about spearfishing at home, there they give alot of info, but I do not know how much is knowledge and how much is hearsay.

Hearsay reef often draws a blank.

Well I spoke to Gerrie - ougerrie last week Thursday - seems that there is not that much reef for the shorediver around Jefreys Bay - odd reef like Pick 'n Pay reef.

So I must make the trip out to St Francis Bay as there are more options.  Anyone with some experience of St Francis area shoredives that is looking for a partner for a shoredive.  Let me know please.  Thanks

Jbay has excellent reefs for cracker, bronze bream, galjoen and similar inshore type fish. You will need to get the water totally flat and it should be dived on a high tide. Good reef just to the right of Boneyards at the point which runs pretty far out. Lots of poensie but most are undersize.

Hi Pelagic
Thank you for the information - now I need to get a decent map of J Bay or do some google earth scouting.
