Is Backing en 'n degie dieselfde ding?

Ek is oortuig daarvan dit is, maar sekere mense wat ek ken sal maar met 'n mens aanhou stry tot die einde toe. Dalk is ek verkeerd...

Kan iemand my meer presies inlig?

in a sense it is the same thing but you get different types of backing - brown bread variations, sweet white dough, the paste that you can buy ready made... so sweet white dough is just one type of backing

It makes sense now, backing meaning anything you put on your hook bait as "back up" LOL

yip anything that can be moulded around the shank of the hook...

The way I've got it is that the backing is placed behind the main bait .i.e swd and then a small backing behind it, or a pip with a brown bread backing.

My main bait is always a floatie or mielie nd I use the dough as backing...

The backing is also used to change the buoyancy of the bait. Floats float, floats with backing doesn't float as much and dough on its own is a bottom bait.
